The Cornish Selectmen previously announced that they had ordered a shortened nomination process in order to fill a vacancy on the Select-board. The "shortened nomination process" is pretty much what it sounds like; it is a different process which allows the nomination to happen faster. The were able to do this by utilizing Maine Statute Title 30-A M.R.S.A 2528(4)(e)*.
