The Sacopee Valley Recreation Council ice rink is winding down, due to warming temperatures. It was a great season.
The Recreation Council would like to thank Jim Tripp and Jay Berger, the main icemen, with assistance from Brian Boothby and John Leavitt. They'd also like to thank Greg Averill and his S.O.L.E. students for clearing the snow off the rink.
They'd like to thank the community for all of the skates that have been coming in. They are still accepting donations, as they can always use more. Jim Tripp is sharpening them for next season. To make a donation, please call (207) 625-3605.
Cross country skiing is still going on, conditions permitting, Sundays from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. by the red shed next to Horizons at Sacopee Valley Elementary School.
