Venture Doggie, in Hiram, Maine, is a new dog daycare that incorporates hiking, training, and creating better behaviors in dogs all while enjoying the beautiful Maine outdoors. This mobile daycare service picks your pups up from the Fryeburg, Hiram, Cornish and the Sacopee Valley, Standish, and Gorham Maine areas. While on the trail dogs do more than just walk. They practice self-control, safe play, and learn how to relax around excitement in the environment.
The owner and founder, Valerie Naegele, has an M.S in Molecular Cell and Developmental Biology and has worked with several trainers in the dog and horse industries. She was a veterinary assistant for many years before deciding that her true life goal and passion was pursuing a career in animal behavior. Her experience in veterinary medicine and as a biology student gives her a wealth of knowledge in animal first aid, and her years of experience working with dogs and horses have contributed greatly to her knowledge of dogs. She also volunteers at the Animal Refuge League in Greater Portland and strives to give back to these dogs however she can and to learn from them as much as possible.

Working with dogs on a daily basis helps me enter their world, which is in the present, and exists moment by moment.
