On Saturday, August 24th, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., Denmark Arts Center presents: The Work Trucks.
Brendan Lake began writing music while sailing in his schooner to far off places around the globe. He landed in Sacramento, where he worked with Sal Valentino until eventually returning home to his roots in Woolwich, Maine.
Brendan has now partnered with Chris Lannon, who is a multi-string player, engineer, and producer with many credits, including producing Carly Simon.
Brackett H. Clark is his other partner; a multi-instrumentalist, singer songwriter, engineer, and owner of Rising River Records. Brackett previously toured nationally with the California-based jam-rock bands "Transcendental Hayride" and "The Free Range Chickens."
Together the trio form "The Work Trucks." Performing an eclectic mix of originals and covers, they enhance their music with their own country-grunge, rock-jam style twists. The debut release of "Fishin' Boat" by "The Work Trucks" features a collection of Brendan Lake originals with soulful and unvarnished lyrics, memorable melodies, and captivating instrumental arrangements that will soon have the listener deeply engaged with the music.
