DENMARK, ME – JULY 6-9 10-11:30 am Sensory Music Science Camp with 317 Main - Little Roots & Children’s Museum of Maine
Sensory Music Science Camp is new this year - July 6-9 from 10-11:30am for children ages birth to six years of age. This camp starts with 317 Main Little Roots music for three days and will support exploration and foster multi-sensory and social-emotional learning.
This is a parent and child experience, and parents are encouraged to attend. The fourth day will last a little longer and is taught by Children’s Museum of Maine with a morning of Wigglers, Fossils, and Whales!
Sensory Science will have children dive into hands-on learning discovering what water beads, slow moving slime, flowing fog machines, and honey have in common. Children’s Museum of Maine will create days that are FUN for the senses!
Little Roots is a high-quality, developmentally appropriate, music education curriculum for children to teach toddler music sessions incorporating our community’s young families. Parents and caregivers engage in simple songs, rhythms, rhymes, and movement activities. Musical instruments are incorporated to create a playful experience while working with beats and tempo. CDC guidelines will be followed for all camps.
Denmark Arts Center (DAC) Kids Camps will be held at Bicentennial Park across from the Arts Center. DAC will follow CDC guidelines for outdoor events. Kid’s Camps are FREE this summer. ALL camps will be outside in Bicentennial Park under pavilion and tent. This camp will fill up fast so register online. Pre-registration is required. Bring a blanket and get ready for a fun-filled experience.
