5/31 Hiram Bake, Blooms, and Books Sale and Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

Goodies for the plant sale keep rolling in - little garden buckets for kids, a delicious planter full of delightful plants, hanging baskets, perennials, annuals, herbs, vegetables, flowers - white bleeding heart, foxgloves (some yellow!), pink lily of the valley, all kinds of iris, even some Muscari bulbs. A few unusual shaped plant pots, citronella pots, perhaps a sweet little bud vase, too! Set up outdoors for the safety of all.

Bring the kids, there will be games and bubbles for them! Monday, May 31, 2021, sales start at 10:00 a.m., breaks at 11:00 a.m. for the Memorial Day Ceremony at the the Green (corner of Main, King, Bull Ring, and Sebago Roads - Four Corners), parade and wreath laying at Soldiers Memorial Library, then the parade continues to the bridge for the tradition of tossing a bouquet into the river in honor of Vets (sorry, no Taps played this year). Come back to the sale after the ceremony and parade for lunch (three kinds of sandwiches packet), beautiful baked goods, fresh rhubarb, drinks, music by Carlos under the tents. The bake and blooms sale will be held outside, between the Library and the Arts Center at 8 Hancock Ave. The book sale will be held inside on the lower level of the Arts Center - boxes of books, hard cover and paperbacks.
