The Town of Porter will hold a special town meeting at the Porter Town Hall on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting is to discuss the following articles:
Article 1: Elect a moderator.
Article 2: Vote to adopt the proposed amendments to the Porter Land Use Ordinance approved by the Porter Planning Board April 17, 2024.
Article 3: Vote to adopt the proposed amendments to the Special Amusement Ordinance of the Town of Porter adopted March, 15, 1997.
Article 4: Vote to adopt the proposed amendments to the Town of Porter Dog Control Ordinance approved on March 15, 2008.
Article 5: Vote to repeal the Town of Porter Curfew Ordinance as it is unenforceable.
Article 6: Shall the updated ordinance entitled "Flood Plain Management Ordinance" be enacted? This would replace the old ordinance.
Article 7: A motion to adjourn.
The proposed updated ordinances can be seen on the Porter website and at the Town Office.
A Public Hearing will also be held on May 29, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Porter Town Office to discuss the above articles.
